DESCRIPTION

As a Business Development Specialist, you will have a designated list of current and competitive accounts, with the primary goal to retain and expand sales revenue in your assigned account base as well as drive new market share.

DUTIES

  • Meets or exceeds revenue and gross profit expectations.
  • Responsible for presenting product demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions to account base. This involves applying a consultative approach using a proven selling process to analyze the customer's business communication requirements, and developing customized solutions to exceed customer requirements.
  • Maintain sales database to record all activities inside of each account.
  • Meet forecasting objectives. Keep timely and accurate forecasts on account assignment by way of monthly forecasting reports.
  • Manage territory by protecting and increasing a profitable revenue stream within current accounts.
  • Serve as first line of contact with customers
QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the Position:
  • Valid driver's license and minimal level of auto insurance coverage required
  • Ability to travel with short notice
  • College Degree preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work under stress/pressure to meet deadlines and financial objectives.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation skills)
  • Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at desk, in meetings, etc...
