Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is guided by general policies and department objectives. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives guidance on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound business practices. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with customers and internal service organizations.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

§ Project Management of complex, strategic proposals § Ownership of an opportunity from kick off to submittal ensuring that the appropriate processes are followed (inputs, scenarios, application of strategy and approvals) § Mentoring and acting as change agent within overall solutions function; leading process and behavioural changes § Coordination and management of multi-functional, multi-regional teams § Alignment with sales, solutions architect and GCBUs to win new opportunities § Lead team of experts to integrate their subject matter expertise into the proposed solution. § Managing and leading teams from a strategic vision to a tactical output § Architect = higher end proposal development as opposed to administrative activity § P&L analysis; pricing analysis; costing analysis § Ensure that the costing and pricing of the solution is delivered effectively , positioning Celestica to win § Proposal management creating a well written, compelling proposal that articulates the solution that drives the customer’s problem resolution. § Complex Problem solving; strategic thinking; critical reasoning, political acumen all required assets § Well versed in written word and oral communication § Managing solutions development funnel, cell capacity, throughput and coordination of opportunities through the cell § Main interface between the cell and the external organizations (Sales, Solutions, etc) § Communicates opportunity requirements within the cell, facilitates solution details, coordinates cell activities to ensure timely, accurate execution § Leads process improvements, and communications (calls, escalations, etc) Owns ongoing Cell Metrics results and analysis, as well as continual improvement and development of the metrics package.

Bachelors degree with 4 years of applicable experience.
