Fisher Investments is a privately-held investment management firm headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with a track record of successfully managing portfolios for high-net-worth private clients and some of the world's preeminent institutions. We've grown significantly over the past decade and are now searching for highly talented individuals to join our team as a Business Information Specialist in our Camas, WA office (near Portland, OR).

Job Summary:
The Business Information Specialist is responsible for the design, maintenance, and implementation of reports and databases. In general, each Specialist is assigned to support and service one or more business units, while assisting with requests from other areas when needed. Support includes brainstorming, creating, and executing new requests as well as adjusting, improving, and troubleshooting current reporting. Service includes advising and educating coworkers on the information available to them and addressing inquiries relating to current reporting.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement reporting and data analysis solutions to accommodate the requests of Fisher Investments’ various business groups.
Interface with business users to obtain business side requirements.
Maintain a high-level of accuracy and timeliness while managing multiple requests with varying complexities and due dates.
Proactively update relevant parties on status changes and issues encountered.
Effectively communicate limitations, present options, and suggest alternatives when initial requirements are not feasible or optimal.
Gain and maintain knowledge of Fisher Investments’ data architecture, reporting structure, and reporting/analysis tools.
Identify ways to streamline reporting by recommending items for automation, re-structuring, or elimination.
Author and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation detailing current reporting instructions.
Periodically audit existing reporting to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Intermediate quantitative, data analysis, and analytical thinking skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel preferred but not required.
Strong ability to prioritize across various tasks, manage changes in daily workload, and operate under several simultaneous deadlines
Excellent communications skills
