Roles/ Responsibility/ Qualifications:
Sogeti USA is seeking a Business Intelligence Savvy business analyst. Previous experience on ETL projects (Informatica) and with Oracle databases is highly desirable.

Required Skills
The ability to conduct Business Analysts activities requires knowledge and experience with: ●
Data warehousing and reporting/analysis concepts ●
Development methodologies (e.g. RUP, UML) ●
Role-based User Security ●
Semantic layer design, creation and maintenance ●
Report server/scheduler configuration and utilization ●
Meta data, the repository and its configuration and interface ●
Popular RDBMS? ●
Deployment and support of client/administration interfaces:
o Desktop tools
o MS Office (e.g. Excel) add-ins
o Web-based tools
o Administration/scheduling tools ●
Stress Testing and Troubleshooting
The following personal skills: ●
Excellent communication skills ●
Excellent documentation skills ●
Domain knowledge; Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred ●
Professional appearance and demeanor ●
Team player
Other desirable skills include: ●
Ability to work with other reporting and data warehousing professionals such as:
o Data Architects
o Reporting Architects
o Data Staging (ETL) Designers ●
Reporting performance optimization ●
Project management experience ●
Training experience ●
Experience with other/similar tools
o Informatica, Oracle databases, etc.

Job Description
The Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing Business Analyst (BI/DW BA) is a key role in data warehousing efforts as this role works with a wide variety of business and IT staff. A solid understanding of business activities, relevant technologies, and excellent communication skills are needed to bridge the understanding between the business needs and the technical design.

Activities include: ●
Ability to ask business questions analysis to identify business drivers, goals and ask relevant questions to identify information needs to achieve the business goals ●
Help users identify potential reporting capabilities to better manage the business ●
Work with the business users to develop the business and functional requirements for a data warehouse solution. ●
Conduct Interviews with executive, senior and middle level business managers and Lead facilitated sessions and workshops to collect requirements. ●
Document requirements and develop overall scope. ●
Analyze business requirements and identify data elements and functionality to support them ●
Draft initial/suggested solutions and designs ●
Identify activities and effort to implement suggested designs ●
Conduct review sessions with business users ●
Produce documents such as Change Requests for groups including the DW Steering Committee ●
Play a key role in ensuring that quality meta data is available, understood and used ●
Support the Project Manager in the prioritization and estimation of DW activities ●
Support the Training, Communication and Change Management efforts ●
Liaison with other project teams to help define companywide reporting requirements, such as the customer and product hierarchies ●
Conduct system demos and presentations ●
Support the future direction of the data warehouse and identify areas of functionality that can be delivered to the business
