System Analyst positions at Eastman require strong knowledge of IT solutions and processes. Specific responsibilities may include:

Deliver IT business solutions to clients that are internal and external to Information Technology.

Engage and consult with clients, internal experts, consultants, contracted resources, and users to identify business needs, recommend solutions, and then deliver those solutions using Information Technology.

Conduct needs assessment, solution evaluation, cost/benefit analysis, design, deployment, and training.

Utilize Eastman's IT policies, practices and operating processes and procedures in developing and implementing technological solutions.

IT Disciplines Include:
1-Business Intelligence (initial assignment)

Decision Support Systems

Data Mining

Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)

Data Analysis and Reporting

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Long-term work authorization is required for this position. However, Eastman Chemical Company does not provide sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:
Bachelor of Science (Computer Science or Information Systems degree preferred)

Experience Requirement:
3 - 5 years of post graduate experience is preferred.

Skills/Attributes:
Software Development (.NET, C#, Java, etc)

Database Management (SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle)

Multi Dimensional Analysis

Data Modeling

Data Visualization

Business process analysis and diagnosis skills.

Good communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the capability to share those ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner.

Good collaboration skills; comfortable working with other skilled professionals on project teams toward common goals.

The ability to accept and promote change.

Project management skills with an emphasis on processes and process discipline.

Understanding of basic business practices with ability to balance technological solution against cost and justification.

Ability to work with a wide variety of information technologies at all levels of the company from the enterprise system to shop floor control.
