Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate, 2 month contract for a Business Intelligence opportunity near Northbrook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, the individual will be responsible for writing queries and developing reports for the Promotions Planning team. This individual will be responsible for building templates that gather data from several different internal and external sources and brings that information together in several different report formats and dashboards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of experience in writing queries and developing analytical reports
Intermediate level skill in SQL (create complex queries using nested SELECT statements, simplify queries by creating new views, deleting and altering tables, using Boolean logic, working with NULL values, constructing queries, etc.).
Experience with Business Objects
Intermediate level skill with Visual Basic
Experience working with analytical software.
Experience working with syndicated data preferred.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel 2010 (for example: linking data from multiple worksheets, workbooks, and external sources such as SQL or MS Access, using logical operations like “sumif” and index”, creating customized charts using Visual Basic, and manipulating pivot tables)
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access 2010 (for example: creating tables linked to external data sources, creating auto-executing forms and macros)
Business experience with retail or CPG preferred to understand the data and types of reports required preferred
