The Business Maintenance Lead is accountable for ensuring implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the unit Reliability, Maintenance, Turnaround and small project work processes, management systems, roles, and best practices. This includes ensuring necessary resources are in place in addition to systems to reduce variation in these processes. Additional responsibilities include:
Deliver skills necessary to apply the work processes and ensure that team members understand work processes.
Ensure that linkages between Reliability/Maintenance and other functions are effective. (i.e. Operations, ESSH, Engineering, etc.)
Interface with operations partners to define the work to be executed and determine requirements and priorities.
Work with operations partners to develop annual maintenance budget including base and turnaround expenditures.
Deliver accurate monthly cost projections.
Develop and own the 5-10 year Reliability/Maintenance improvement plan.
Develop a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the unit facilities, technology, ESSH and Process Safety considerations of the facilities in order to facilitate informed communications and decisions.
Represent operations in the business strategy development and goal setting process related to turnarounds.
Leverage company standards, technology and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Promote results oriented engagement through effective communications and goal alignment.
Provide leadership to set standards and expectations for department that promote employee engagement, teamwork, trust, ownership, excellence, creativity, innovation and growth.
Ensure that objectives are clear for each position and provide timely performance feedback.
- BS Degree in Engineering (or a related discipline) along with 10+ years experience in operations or maintenance in a petrochemical environment.
- Leadership experience desired.
- Certified CMRP (Maintenance and Reliability Professional) desired.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt certification(s) is a plus. Experience as a Maintenance and/or Reliability Engineer is also a plus. Candidate should be results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication and team-based management skills. The candidate should be able to work in a diverse team environment to facilitate interactions with technical staff, business team leaders, and contractors.
