TDS has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator to join our diverse Application, Development & Support team at our Corporate headquarters in Middleton, WI.
The Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator is responsible for ensuring a secure, efficient and effective environment is in place for our End-User community. This position monitors and evaluates the Company's existing BOBJ environment. The BOBJ Administrator also makes recommendations and ultimately executes on improvements leveraging Best Practice Strategies. The BOBJ Administrator works on and, at times, leads multiple projects including technology evaluation, infrastructure design, and implementation planning.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams to review and enhance performance levels.Assisting with application design including technical design documents, and other software development lifecycle deliverables, including evaluating opportunities to increase effectiveness and implementing changes.Developing technical requirements and estimates for project work and business cases.Evaluating current monitoring and incorporating necessary changes to increase environment stability.Collaborating with Architects and Business Stakeholders to transform data into usable a Business Intelligence Roadmap.Ensuring BOBJ settings and procedures are in accordance with established guidelines and policies for security and privacy.Establishing and maintaining refresh processes for all non-production environments (Dev, Test, and QA) .Participating in production support and maintenance of existing reports, including solution builds and unit, system and users testing.Assisting where applicable in maintaining and monitor existing reports, data loads, extracts and repositories.Providing technical guidance and leadership to team members.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Management Information Systems, Business or related field -OR- 4+ years equivalent work experience.4+ years experience developing and supporting information systems that support critical business processes including BOBJ.1+ years experience leading small to medium projects or initiatives.
Core Oracle database administration experience including installation, configuration, maintenance, security, auditing, backup/recovery, monitoring, trouble shooting.Experience with migrating reports, universes, Dashboards, etc. using Import Wizard and/or LifeCycle Manager for BOBJ.Experience in design and development of universes and BOBJ Reports, including a solid understanding of CMC as well as a solid understanding of true Business Intelligence philosophies.Experience with BOE Release 3.1. Migration to BOBJ 4.0 given preference.Ability to interpret and execute strategy with a focus on quality and urgency.Demonstrated planning and facilitation skills and ability to multi-task / manage multiple priorities.Support experience in SAP infrastructure including Connectivity and Security. Knowledge of multiple SAP functional areas (SD, APO, FI, etc) and experience in integration with SAP BW 7x or higher a strong plus.Experience with Backup and Restore procedures for front end servers.Design guidance for BI solutions leveraging full suite of applications including, but not limited to, BO 3.1, CMC, CMS, Web Intelligence, Designer, Xcelsius, Voyager, Crystal Reports, and BO Data Services.
