Business Objects Administrator

Job Description:

The Business Objects Administrator will support the implementation and long-term maintenance of a federal government agency’s business intelligence and reporting infrastructure. The person will be responsible for the operational application administration of the suite of Business Objects Enterprise and Data Services environment. The Administrator will provide operational expertise and support for the install, maintenance and administration of software. He/she will have proven expertise in the administration and engineering of these applications including implementing operational processes and procedures and developing scripts for maintenance and monitoring automations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Valid MBI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience installing and configuring Business Objects 4.0 in a clustered environment
  • Experience integrating security (AD) into the BO environment
  • Deployment and maintenance of Universes, Crystal reports, Webi reports and dashboards
  • Strong performance tuning experience
  • Experience with Business Objects 4.0 auditing and monitoring
  • Able to work with SAP to create tickets and resolve issues
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in using BO Tools such as Universe Designer and Web Intelligence
  • Knowledge and experience using BO best practices for design and development of Business Intelligence systems
  • Experience working with business users to gather requirements and translate to technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on site with a federal government customer
  • Experience deploying Business Objects on mobile platforms
  • Experience with Business Objects SDK
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
