Act as a trusted advisor to our cross functional teams; Finance, Support, Customer Success, Sales and Products. Responsible for:
Financial analysis, business modeling and decision support provided to senior executives and managers that enables performance monitoring and business management
Forecast and analyze bookings and revenue for the Support and Professional Services businesses
Coordinate the development of SOPs and/or training guides for the departmental processes
Supporting and guiding the services organization to adhere to maturing practices for everything from revenue forecast analysis to accounts receivable awareness
Coordinate activities across the team related to staffing, recruiting and onboarding of new staff
Training of internal services team members on proper PSA / CRM (salesforce.com) processes and procedures, including change management of process or application changes
Facilitate operational communications to customers, through the TPM, around billing and invoicing questions or issues
Develop metrics,KPI’s.. and forecasting models that drive continued performance improvement
Review 3rd party services and PSG contract margins, drive changes in pricing and / or resource utilization
Provide profitability and loss analysis to senior management for regions and services product lines
Deliver accurate expense reporting to assist with forecasting of projected expenditure and actuals
Responsible for variance analysis of actual spending vs. budget and forecast. Highlight potential issues, risks and opportunities and make recommendations to business partners
Assist in the development of both tactical and strategic plans that impact the growth and performance of the group
Supporting a professional services organization of over 30 consultants to drive accurate and up to date time and expense submissions
Managing partner and subcontractor work orders, consulting hour submissions, and invoice approvals and reconciliations
Conduct audits of the reporting system to support operational best practices
Ad hoc projects and analysis
Education & Work Experience:
8+ years FP&A experience required; 4-6 years working with Support or Professional Services preferred
Strong Excel, Powerpoint, and ERP and reporting system skills (Oracle/Hyperion preferred)
Strong attention to detail and understanding of business processes
Experience with PSA system (Financial Force preferred)
Ability to apply knowledge of software revenue recognition rules to forecasting and analysis
Experience desired with Professional Services and Technical Support KPIs and metrics such as utilization and productivity
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to interact well across different functions, levels, and personality types
BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics; MBA preferred
