SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Front-end financial systems support for multiple enterprise-wide financial applications. This support includes, but is not limited to, systems maintenance, system admin functions, nightly trail and financial close support, and various project roles.
Daily/Monthly maintenance as required within various production and test applications.
Daily/Monthly control procedures to verify accuracy of changes made in systems.
System reconciliations as required.
Assist with implementing new upgrades of existing applications.
Assist with Quarter close and Year-End close support for end users, both domestically and globally.
Investigate and resolve outstanding items.
Assist team on Corporate and Departmental projects as needed.
Work with customers for ad hoc requests, technical resolution, and process improvements.
Work with customers and business partners to build more efficient and auditable processes.
Work with the SOX department to document and sign-off on accounting and procedural controls.
Work with the external auditors to provide documentation for accounting controls and assist with other ad hoc requests.
Perform various project roles and tasks. Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1-5 years of experience applying or providing complex technical knowledge and advice on finance applications and/or systems.
BA/BS, preferably in Accounting, MIS, or equivalent. MBA or comparable advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge of MetLife financial systems (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Essbase, Frontier, Cognos) a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Bi-lingual skill a plus. Business Category
