Accounting & Finance Business Process has an opening for a Senior Business Process Analyst. The primary objective of this position is to assist in the development, standardization, improvement and documentation of Accounting & Finance business processes.
Business Process Analyst
Analyze variables to identify inefficiencies, issues and risks in processes, and/or probable solutions for improvements to the client's
Accounting and Finance (A&F) business processes.
Provide input to departmental processes to resolve/mitigate recurring business process/workflow problems/bottlenecks resulting in positive impact to the organization's success. Assist business process leadership with engineering or re-engineering business processes to increase efficiencies and maintain/increase stakeholder satisfaction.
Prepare as-is business process documentation including process maps based on interviews and feedback from business.
Develop to-be business process/workflow documentation including process maps and narratives based on requirements.
Support A&F in identification of business process improvement opportunities.
Represent A&F in defining requirements for new systems applications.
Identify applicable stakeholders' needs so as to build long-term relationships and ensure success in business process projects.
Provide value added services in the agreed upon time frame while improving service standards.
Serve as additional resource for completion of A&F tasks as needed.
Support project initiatives and associated business process team objectives and goals.
Assist in implementation and training for new systems applications.
Maintain effective communication on project status with business process team leadership and team members.
Liaise between business and technical areas by collaborating with team members and other departments/workstreams in order to develop strategies around process and workflow.
Work with business process leadership to track progress and assist in communications/updates outside of the team.
Develop collaborative relationships with A&F associates.
Fulfill expectations of a process within specified departmental standards and guidelines by identifying gaps, trends, and solutions. Own the implementation and successful delivery of a business process initiative.
Analyze and recommend appropriate process changes through identification, and mitigation of risks, issues, and gaps.
Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, design, training and execution of process change.
Drive decisions and actions required to make the process initiative successful.
Obtain business owner consensus and agreement of process design and execution.
Create and communicate business process/workflow documentation including process maps and narratives based on requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
3 - 5+ years experience in business process analysis
3 - 5+ years experience in insurance industry (preferred)
Intermediate skill level in Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Ability to facilitate effective collaboration. Solid analytical, problem solving and planning skills. Strong team player Self starter with excellent execution skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
