Vertex Inc. is currently looking for a Business Process Lead that will lead, facilitate, and guide the development and deployment of process assets for process focused projects and process improvement initiatives. This position will produce process deliverables in a timely, professional manner with a high degree of quality. In addition, this role will facilitate and lead the definition, analysis and design, modeling and development of process deliverables, continuous improvement and innovation for business processes, performance measurement, and re-engineering projects. The Business Process Lead models the business and processes from an enterprise view and participates on or leads tactical enterprise teams.

In this role, you will assume responsibility for:
Promote process improvement throughout the enterprise.

Lead, guide, and facilitate development, maintenance, and deployment of process and controls on process focused teams.

Collaborate with process owners and segment leaders to plan and create requirements for process focused projects.

Lead process improvement projects throughout the enterprise using industry standard methods.

Assist and guide process owners in the assessment of processes for improvement and standardization opportunities.

Contribute to and follow the process improvement methodology consisting of processes and procedures, tools and techniques, to consistently deliver effective and efficient process services throughout the enterprise in order to optimize benefits.

Support Strategy Teams with documenting, implementing, measuring, and improving enterprise processes across the organization.

Participate on or lead tactical teams across the enterprise consistently delivering high quality deliverables.

Continuously develop skills utilizing industry best practices.

Lead or participate in other projects or duties.

Occasional travel may be required.

We encourage individuals possessing all of the following minimum qualifications to apply immediately:

Education & Training:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Engineering, Process Improvement, Business Performance, Quality Assurance, Engineering.

Work Experience:
10 years experience of business process engineering, business and process modeling, and application of disciplines such as business and technical analysis

Previous experience in process improvement facilitation, including documenting business processes, controls, and models

Experience leading implementation of quality, performance, and re-engineering initiatives

Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma and Workout methodologies required, Blackbelt certified preferred

Demonstrated experience with enterprise-level business process development

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to lead a cross functional process improvement project using several industry standard methods.

Skilled in use of business and process modeling tools

Knowledgeable of industry best practices including Capability Maturity Model organizational process definition, organizational process focus, and process management

Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior management and business leaders.

Ability to apply professional concepts, experience and company objectives in order to perform an in-depth analysis of situations or data to resolve complex issues in creative ways.

Ability to work without supervision. Wide latitude for independent decision making.

Must possess excellent negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Ability to network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

Excellent judgment and decision-making capability

Excellent time management, and organizational skills

Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.

Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
