The purpose of this position is to implement the Cedar Hill Economic Development Department's Business Retention Program and Strategic Marketing Plans. Under the direction of the Economic Development Director, the Economic Development Business Retention and Marketing Manager will create and implement the business retention program and economic development marketing and tourism marketing plans including events related to those plans.

Provides premier customer service to citizens, internal and external customers by responding to requests in a positive, timely, effective and professional manner.
Work with the Director of Economic Development to develop a coordinated Business Retention and Expansion Program.
Work with the Director of Economic Development to implement a coordinated Business Retention and Expansion Program.
Develop strong working relationships with workforce, higher education, staffing agencies, tech academies, and high school personnel related to workforce development and career readiness.
Manage resources in communications and business information covering publication, print, audio/video and web site; including contracts with providers.
Ensure that all external communications and marketing efforts present a professional market driven profile for the EDC and the City; refer leads to the Director of Economic Development and follow-up.
Develop and implement new marketing plans, policies and strategies; coordinate and perform marketing research and analysis; make recommendations to management staff.
Work through vendors and contractors to coordinate media placement and printing of various brochures, articles and schedules; coordinate distribution of printed materials.
Establish systems for the collection and maintenance of marketing information pertinent to the attraction of potential new business development; including representatives of available real estate, commercial brokers, site consultants, and business development officials.
Design, prepare for, and implement booth space and meetings at trade shows.
Plan and coordinate meetings and events.
Regular attendance is required.
Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, Public Relations or closely related field. Prefer graduate of Economic Development Institute or IEDC core class completion.
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in Economic Development with BREP and Marketing experience.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
Possession of Basic Economic Development Certificate.
Expertise with MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint a must. Knowledge of Publisher Adobe Illustrator, and In-Design software a plus.
