Generation of business loans (Commercial and Industrial and SBA) through Branch’s, existing contacts and by cultivating new relationships. Management of assigned portfolio to assure compliance with Bethpage’s credit policy while expanding relationship. Uphold Bethpage’s commitment to provide quality Member Service and represent Bethpage in a positive and professional manner as a dedicated representative.

Acquire new business lending by utilizing effective calling techniques to achieve corporate growth. Accomplish this by maintaining and developing relationships with centers of influence: accountants, attorneys, community leaders, professional and/or social organizations. Attend networking, charity and corporate functions for prospecting and establishment of relationships
Service assigned Retail Branch’s providing training and service as needed.
Coordinate with clients on accounts, and other issues related to the business relationships. Work with members to facilitate credit application process, perform site visits, work with underwriter to obtain decision, work with underwriting to perform annual reviews of assigned portfolio

A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated successful financial sales experience including development and execution of a marketing/sales plan. Both outbound telephone and in person sales calling

Platform Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage sales or Investment sales experience is helpful

Trained in needs based selling and cold prospecting and selling

Knowledgeable in small business products

Experienced in developing business loan portfolio by cultivating Branch Relationships

Well versed in local market trends and in analyzing potential loan markets

College Degree Preferred


Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel daily throughout NY Metropolitan area including New Jersey and Connecticut on a limited basis.

Ability to network and strong sales experience are essential for this position. Must be willing to work untraditional work hours including early mornings, evenings and on occasion weekends.

Must be able to speak in front of large groups and meet with high level executives in group or 1 to 1 environments.

Good organizational skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sales Software. Ability to prioritize work.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as in teams to collaborate with colleagues and external clients.
