New Directions is seeking a Business Strategy Analyst in Kansas City, MO to be responsible for the execution of business and market analysis to meet the strategic goals for New Directions. The Business Strategy Analyst will have proven project management skills and demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects. This person will serve as an expert resource for competitive intelligence, market environmental scans, merger and acquisition assistance and RFP searches.

The Business Strategy Analyst’s key responsibilities include:
Conduct and maintain market research and competitive analysis for New Directions.

Research potential acquisition and merger opportunities and be an active participant in the due diligence activities associated with acquisitions.

Provide recommendations on product changes and product portfolio based on internal feedback, market conditions, RFP requests, etc.

Monitor all RFP activity and find RFPs that pertain to New Directions business.

Assist with strategic and business planning as business needs arise.

Work with new business implementation team to fully implement new business.

Serve as a key person for communicating healthcare reform impact to the industry and New Directions.

Use project management techniques and processes to achieve effective and timely results, including project plans, cost estimates; and tracking monitoring, and communicating progress against plans.

Demonstrates consistency in professional demeanor in response to all situations regardless of the nature or circumstances of the situation.

Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-pace, changing environment.

Adheres to the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Code of Business Conduct and Compliance Program.

Adheres to New Directions Behavioral Health Mission Statement, Core Values, Code of Business Conduct, and Compliance Program.

Complies with all Federal and applicable State laws and New Directions Behavioral Health Policies regarding, privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.

Attends regularly scheduled department and company staff meetings.

Participates in ongoing education as requested by New Directions

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or other relevant academic discipline

Three or more years of experience providing the types and levels of knowledge, skills and abilities required by the job

Strong financial analysis skills

Competency in Microsoft Office suite

Master’s Degree preferred
