Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.
The Business Manager will be responsible for the financial forecasting for the Market Data department, including managing the monthly P&L and explaining all variances. In addition, the candidate will manage the Contract Governance process for all market data agreements and services for the firm. The Business Manager will be responsible for all market data expense management programs and financial transparency to lines of business. The candidate will also participate in forming the overall strategy for governance of market data products. The Business Manager will also be responsible for resource management including headcount reporting and staffing activities. Will also assist the Global Head of Business Management in ad hoc projects.

5-7 years in business management or similar function

Market Data experience a plus
