Works with business unit and shared services teams to analyze, design, test, and implement new software and software enhancements. Develops user stories, requirements, models, workflows, forms, reports, and test scripts to support agile development process.
Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process review, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile s conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with business and technical staff in on-site and virtual environments.
Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional Requirements (Business Requirements Document), Testing Plans/Scripts, User Stories, Use Cases, Screen and Interface designs and related process documentation.
Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems.
Responsible for the creation of test scripts, as well as performing, manages, and coordinating testing efforts, such as unit, end-to-end, UAT, etc.
Assists with change management activities as needed.
Develops and maintains subject matter expertise in industry, platform and business solutions.
Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Bachelor’s degree in business management or a computer-related field, or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years business analysis and project management experience in a technical industry.
Experience working with business groups to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and workflows.
Experience with process management and process change implementation.
Experience with IT service management platforms based on the ITIL framework preferred.
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Able to quickly learn and understand diverse business, operational, and technical information.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with testing tools and writing automated test scripts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including; executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio. Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
