The position provides Senior IT management and technical support for departmental serve r - based applications/databases/systems for internal business operations, and provides technical support for internal customers in utilization of these systems.
Examples Of Essential Duties:
Serve as a technical lead to application support group to include setting standard operating procedures, providing direction, assigning tasks/projects, planning/scheduling work, monitoring progress, and related activities. Collaborate with business unit senior management to identify, analyze, and develop business requirements for operations; define IT specifications for support of business requirements; collaborate with project management teams to define, develop, and deliver IT applications to support business operations. Plan, analyze, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex application systems. Monitor application operations; apply proactive /predictive analysis to minimize system risks; resolve operational problems to maximize system availability. Serve in project lead/support role on complex application integration projects; collaborate with technical staff, business unit senior management, and project managers to develop, implement, and support integration projects. Provide application administration for departmental applications ; provide technical support to users; provide technical guidance to business unit senior management; collaborate with departmental application support staff to develop and implement standard operating procedures, change management procedures, disaster recovery, and related activities. Collaborate with DBA staff in development and implementing of standard operating procedures, change management procedures, replication, clustering, disaster recovery, and related activities needed to provide the optimum database environment for applications. Collaborate with infrastructure support staff in development and implementing of standard operating procedures, change management procedures, disaster recovery, and related activities needed to provide the optimum server environment for applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing and supporting IT in an environment of 500+ users and 10+ systems/applications/databases; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Experience in providing technical support for the following applications is highly desirable: Systems & Software/enQuesta Customer Information System; Oracle/CRM Customer Relationship Management System; Infor/Hansen v7 Enterprise Asset Management System; IBM/Maximo v6 Enterprise Asset Management System; Perki n - Elmer/LabWorks v5 Laboratory Information Management System; Oracle/Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management; Oracle/ Skire Unifier; Java/J2EE application framework
The following current certifications are highly desirable:
