Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience in one of the following: Systems Development, Business Management or Logistics
Two plus years Information Technology business analyst level work experience
Previous experience in systems development life cycle, including analysis, design, build, test and implementation is preferred
Must possess an understanding of relational database design and/or a strong understanding of business processes in the area they are supporting
Experience with Windows operating systems, Browser based systems and SQL
Must possess intermediate MS Office and MS Project skills
Must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Must possess ability to work with little or no supervision
Must possess a command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Familiarity and experience in develop and development tools
Afterhours support of ECM Transport based systems
May require travel and flexible work hours, including weekends and evenings
Truck Load transportation experience a plus
Exposure to McLeod LME software or similar commercial Transportation Management System a plus
Exposure to Qualcomm On Board Computer systems or similar On Board Computer system a plus

ECM Transport LLC. , a subsidiary of PITT OHIO, located in New Kensington, PA, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Business Systems Analyst . Leading-edge technology and world-class customer service contribute to the continued success of our organization.
The ECM Transport business uses the McLeod LME transportation management software to run its business. This individual will have complete ownership responsibilities for the McLeod LME software and Qualcomm application integrated in the enterprise IT architecture. Overall, the position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs and formulates systems to support overall business strategies. The individual writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. They are familiar with relational databases, client-server and web concepts. Leads smaller scoped projects individually. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Responsibilities:
Information Technology liaison between the various IT areas and business operating areas
Support / Lead Business Areas in process analysis for the purpose of implementing technology based solutions
Provide bridge to lead / support communications between business area and technical resources for design and development
Ensure that newly developed or enhanced computer systems are thoroughly tested and are properly deployed
Provide feedback to developers, systems specialists, and Business Area concerning user response to system features, functions, and performance in production environment
Assist in various computer related projects as needed
Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Second level support of information technology issues that are affecting the ECM Transport business
Support mobile phone and Qualcomm devices for ECM Transport
