A Company Where Ideas Meet Industry Based in Charlotte North Carolina SPX Corporation (NYSE SPW) is a global Fortune 500 multiindustry manufacturing leader with over 5 billion in annual revenue operations in more than 35 countries and over 18000 employees The companys highlyspecialized engineered products and technologies are concentrated in three areas flow technology infrastructure and vehicle service solutions SPX Hydraulic Technologies SPX Hydraulic Technologies is a global manufacturer of high performance fluid power and railway integrity products and systems Product brands include Power Team Stone Hytec Globe SPX Smiths and Rail Systems Headquartered in Rockford Illinois global sales and manufacturing locations include Eygelshoven in The Netherlands Shanghai and Suzhou China Singapore and Romford in the United Kingdom Business Systems Analyst – Rockford IL Provides Information Technology leadership and support for business critical processes and application systems This role is responsible for full application life cycle management including identifying appropriate technologies developing business cases directing the acquisition and implementation of those solutions and providing support It is also responsible for helping to develop and support the long term IT roadmap for the business List of key responsibilities Explore opportunities with the business leadership to improve our company’s processes and business practices Identify opportunities to leverage technology and to integrate systems in order to provide the most value possible from our systems Provide support to business leaders and their teams This will include communicating with these teams to discover the best solution for business issues in the context of both legacy systems as well as future systems that are part of the IT roadmap Participate as crossfunctional team member and provide expertise to solve business problems with sales finance manufacturing engineering service and other functional areas Provide business systems support to the key missioncritical systems for the company to include the following at a minimum ERP systems CRM and other supporting transaction based systems such as shipping rental management bar coding and accounting systems Create concise written specifications to insure results consistent with end users requirements including flowcharts and other documents Document legacy systems to aide in developing transition plans to future applications Troubleshoot application and data issues provide resolutions or escalate issues to software vendors to ensure solutions Train customers and internal employees in understanding the system as well as translating their needs into actionable specifications Develop programs and scripts to effectively provide solutions in a diverse system environment Create queries and reports to help end users gain visibility into their information Coordinate testing and alterations to the system and provide error free information Systems support of critical business issues and implementation support of new development and processes Performs other functions as necessary The above listed responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities or duties required Incumbents will be expected to perform other duties as assigned Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Business or related field Master’s degree is a plus Minimum of ten years of experience with at least four years in a similar role Background that includes project management and new technology implementations is required Experience with analytics and reporting tools (BI Data Mining etc) is highly desired Solid experience working with and implementing ERPBusiness solutions like SAP preferred Syteline v7 experience is a plus Knowledge of manufacturing systems and experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Experienced at constructively facilitating dialogs through excellent communication and listening skills Experience working within a global organization with an ability to prioritize issues and drive change with minimal of resources Attributes Customer focused Ability to make quick yet calculated and sound decisions Ability to be a conceptual and strategic thinker Ability to be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment and creating meaningful change Ability to work effectively in a team environment and as an individual contributor Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business, Manufacturing IT Systems and SAP are highly preferred
