In collaboration with executive leadership, successfully supports new business capture, execution, and develops business development roadmaps, including identification of alignments and potential business relationships to achieve current and future company and business unit strategies.
In collaboration with Group President, defines the competitive environment in targeted regions, understands applicable commercial models, identifies potential sectors, and develops strategic approaches to cultivate and capture new business.
Performs oversight of program contract requirement compliance, funding, subcontracting, risk management, and performance.
Provides hands-on proposal management to successfully identify and pursue future proposals and programs in the NAVAIR/Seaport-e environment. Maintains situational awareness of the relationships with regional and local customers and other key stakeholders. Performs customer relationship development, engagement planning, and execution. Must be an excellent communicator and skilled at building and maintaining customer relationships.
Conducts Indirect Budget development, and annual business plan/roadmap development.
Understands multiple rate structures and supports rate reviews.
Demonstrates leadership and ability to excel in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited educational institution with 15 years of professional and, or military experience;
A thorough understanding of DOD acquisition, contracting and proposal processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous track-record of success in leading an organizationally complex team in related efforts and hands on proposal management with Seaport proposals and activities.
Dynamic, self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently.
Strong team and collaborative working skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
Masters degree preferred in appropriate discipline from an accredited educational institution.
Experience in the Patuxent River/NAVAIR DoD or related government service environment.
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
