The Buyer (I II or Sr.) is responsible for purchasing products from assigned vendors to maintain appropriate inventory levels as specified by Service Level Agreements (SLA) set by either the Vendor or Category managers resulting in maximum customer service levels and increased profitability. Vendor assignments for the Buyer position will increase in size complexity and responsibility based upon the experience level of the associate. Overall responsibility is for the asset management of these vendors.

Education: Bachelor's degree or four years additional related experience or two years additional Ingram Micro related experience.

Experience: Minimum of three years' related industry experience. Knowledge of technology products and the overall supply chain process. Proven ability to document and improve inventory related supply chain processes. Ability to understand and communicate complex operational data. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate with executive level customers. Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion. Problem solving skills attention to detail time management and organizational skills a must. Knowledge of general computer applications (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel). Knowledge of Ingram Micro's system (IMpulse) is a plus. Possible travel.
