Selects and procures merchandise which supports overall company sales volume, gross margin and turnover objectives. Plans and follows up inventory target quantities per month / year and ensures that inventory objectives and levels are met. Constant communication with stores, strong market awareness. Gathers data from customers to guarantee their expectations are fulfilled. Analizes existing market looking for opportunities to drive sales through business intensification.

Visit stores to assure merchandising strategies are being followed, gathers customers feedback, analyze it and reports to the team
Identifies and shops competition
Identifies probable new vendors – market scouting
Identifies emerging brands and trends
Vendor interaction
o Coordinates appointments
o Call/email follow ups
o Requests pictures, catalogs, samples
o Performs claims and follow ups
Ensures timely shipping of merchandise through consistent communication and follow up of the orders with the vendors and distribution center
Ensures timely delivery of advertised merchandise and communicates issues to merchandise team
Maintenance of system vendor information
Identify internal product opportunity areas
Develops a strong communication system with the stores team
Prepares manual purchase orders and assists with markdowns
Issue and evaluate weekly sales reports, identifies best/worst styles, analizing trends, colors, fitting, silhouette and advises designer and the team in weekly meetings. Identifies re-order styles.
Works closely with Visual Merchandising team
Conducts weekly meetings with stores sales team
Coordinates weekly meeting with resident LA buyers
Ensures GA selling goals to Gatsby PR , Gatsby Venezuela and Gatsby Dominican Republic are met
Minimum requirements
1. College degree in Business Administration or equivalent; one or two years related experience and/or training.
2. Bilingual
