We engineer many unique "specials" for very demanding applications over a wide range of Markets and Industry Segments.

Business Contribution: The Buyer Planner at our Milwaukee Cylinder/Enerpac Production Automation facility is responsible for year over year improvement in supplier performance, inventory levels, product availability, cost reduction per business goals as measured by ATP, On time shipping, Inventory Plan, MBF, Supplier PPM and delivery percentage.

Key Responsibilities:
Manages the relationship between the cell and its suppliers.

Monitor and execute the process for measuring, displaying, and utilizing a pull system for component replenishment.

Prepare and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery goals.

Conduct inventory analysis and management to meet established Business goals.

Periodic capacity analysis and planning.

Monitor and communicate supplier performance for delivery, quality, cost management and other measurements as defined.

Coordinate timely disposition and corrective actions for non-conforming purchased materials.

Provide product availability information to Customer Service representatives through ATP screen updates.

Maintain accuracy of all ERP data fields.

Support Cost Down initiatives through assigned teams.

Other assignments for the benefit of the organization assigned by management.

Required Skills

Four-year degree or equivalent experience.

Identify & facilitate change, and promote multiple on-going communications with all disciplines of the business.

Ability to lead a team and champion concurrent projects.

Demonstrated capability in utilizing a formal ERP system for the planning, scheduling and maintenance of the complete business environment.

Capable to manage daily release of purchased materials.

Demonstrate capability to apply 'Lean Manufacturing' techniques to the manufacturing operation.

Demonstrate success in the identification and implementation of cost reduction through cross-functional teaming.

Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Integrate pull system methodology into the supply base.

Professional verbal and written communication style to enhance supplier performance.

Provide reporting and data flow per required schedule.

Must retain job proficiencies through ongoing education and training.

Must be able to work in front of the computer and on the telephone for long periods of time.

Support supply base management through quality assessments and visits.

Accept delegated assignments during the cell leader absence.
