4Wall Entertainment is seeking a purchasing agent/buyer for used entertainment lighting, audio and video equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Film/TV Studios, Entertainment venues and companies that support these arenas. The Agent is responsible for the procurement of a variety of used lighting and AV equipment that meets company standards in terms of quality and cost.
DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
Research, develop, and procure previously owned entertainment lighting and audio/video equipment.
Focus on the California studio and theatrical markets with a national reach when appropriate.
Cold Call potential vendors (studios, theatres, rental companies, lending institutions and auction houses) to solicit purchasing opportunities.
Evaluate the condition and used value of used equipment
Negotiate offers and prepare bids for found equipment.
Handle logistics of purchased assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Purchasing or Sales experience in the lighting and the audio-video industry.
3 - 5 years purchasing or sales experience within the film/TV studio, entertainment lighting/AV, production or equivalent experience.
Experience in the valuation of lighting and AV equipment.
Ability to evaluate equipment based on its mechanical/electrical condition as well as its cosmetic condition.
Proven results and experience demonstrating strategic thinking, innovative creativity, analytical and superior organizational skills
Strong Communication, both in written and oral form, as well as the ability to present, persuade and influence at all levels.
Solid business background with the ability to build effective relationships internal and external to the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work with highly confidential information is a must.
Successful completion of a background check will be required. Health insurance and 401(k) are offered after satisfactory completion of 90-day probationary period.
