Performs a variety of work assignments related to the operation and
maintenance of a wastewater/water/collections distribution system. Work
assignments may include, but are not limited to: Repairing water leaks, making
water taps, excavating work, back filling and compaction, repairing sewer
leaks, unstopping sewer lines, operating high pressure sewer cleaning
equipment, smoke testing sewers for leaks, making sewer taps, and other duites
as assigned in the water and sewer maintenance department.

Must
understand and comply with United Water safety policies and State of MS
environmental regulations as it relates to the facility.

Qualifications

1-3 years experience in
water/wastewater/collections system environment or construction industry.

Thorough knowledge or the ability to achieve a thorough knoweldge in the
principles and practices of water and wastewater collection and distribution.

Ability to read and interpret blue prints or other drawings.

Ability to understand and follow oral and
written instructions.

HS graduate or equivalent with experience in the
operation of a water/wastewater collection and distribution system.

Valid
driver’s license in state of residency is required; CDL is highly desirable.
