Cardno Haynes Whaley is seeking full time CAD Drafters in Houston or Austin, TX.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
> Prepares design drawings using electronic or manual methods and maintains high quality standards of lines and lettering
> Ensures that his or her drafting is of the highest quality and organized in accordance with company design standards
> Ensures that all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness, and speed
> Assists the design team in the process of putting a set of drawings into an organized package
> Ensures that all drawings are produced using uniform and standard quality of lines and lettering
> Coordinates his or her drafting work with other discipline drawings
> Communicates drafting issues and problems to the project design staff
> May assist in the data collection and/or field verification
> Assists in the maintenance of files for all design drawings and project documents
> Performs other non-drafting assignments as required by the design team

Minimum Requirements:
> Two-year course in engineering drafting/CAD operation plus two years applicable experience or a minimum of three years of structural engineering CAD drafting on projects that include commercial, institutional, and/or governmental buildings projects
> Candidates must have experience in commercial building design to include mid to high rise, educational and tilt wall facilities using Auto CAD and Revit 2013-2014
> An aptitude to learn CAD drafting and design procedures
> Ability to work with others and within a design team environment
> Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
> Ability to work independently
> Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
> Self-motivated, strong initiative; effective oral and written skills
> Detail oriented, resourceful
