Bowhead is looking for a CAD Drafter in support of U.S. Navy and Coast Guard Electro-Optics systems planning, installation, and repair. The Drafter will prepare working plans, detailed drawings and complete mechanical or electrical drawings and layouts of components and assemblies such as schematics, interconnect lists, parts breakdown, printed circuit board tape ups, wire lists, etc., from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes. Additionally the Drafter may take measurements or make observations of shop and field installations; makes routine engineering computations, prepares specifications, and makes adjustments in drawings and specifications; prepare material lists and engineering orders, change requests, etc. Work involves independent judgment to a limited extent with references generally available.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3d CAD/Drafting applications.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a current and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must be able to operate a POV within a 50 mile radius.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level.
- Experience with creating and/or editing military drawings.
- AutoCAD and Solid Edge experience.
- Experience in Electro-Optics systems.
High School diploma and 5-8 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements.
All post-secondary education listed on a Candidate’s application and resume must be verifiable, including but not limited to dates of attendance and degree/diploma awarded. Post-secondary education includes any courses taken through an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree.
