Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL CAD Technician Careers - Dallas, Texas

The challenge? Help our clients provide and sustain clean water resources around the world. Our CAD Technician career path is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be part of a team supporting the design and delivery of water, wastewater, and conveyance projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with 0-2 years of experience, a solid understanding of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD 2D/3D software, possess a two-year degree in Computer Drafting and Design, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.

Our CAD Technicians :
Will support design and delivery activities in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Execute project drawings using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD 2D and 3D application software to produce legible and technically correct drawings in a cost efficient manner.

Prepare drawings from sketches, descriptions and instructions.

Make revisions to existing drawings from verbal explanations and revise complex drawings from sketches.

Assist Engineers in producing design and construction documents.

Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, are dependable with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide a high quality of work.

Must believe and participate in achieving a safe work environment and contribute in achieving a Target Zero safety plan.

Basic Qualifications

A two-year degree in Computer Drafting and Design
Must be highly proficient in the use of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to produce engineering drawings
Preferred Qualifications

0-2 years experience in the use of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to produce engineering drawings
Degree Required
Associates or 2 Year Degree
Preferred Years of Experience
