We are currently hiring a CAD Technician in our state of the art R&D center located in Cranston RI.
Cranston is conveniently located outside of Providence.
The CAD Technician position creates and maintains drawings of various product designs. These drawings may be used for procurement of components or for the manufacturing of products. Drawings are basic, detailed parts to complex final assemblies. The Designer I, will be required to create drawings using either AutoCAD or PRO-E drafting/modeling software packages.
CAD Technician will be responsible for:
Create detail, subassembly, and final assembly drawings of various products from sketches, job sheets, or markups of similar designs as required.
Monitor/administrate ECR system. Review & approve ECR's for distribution.
Verify ECR approvals & address comments.
Perform required drafting changes or create new drawings as required.
Update engineering design packages and prepare files for distribution as required.
Maintain CAD files
The ideal candidate will have the following:
High School/Vocational Education plus 3 years related work experience or an Associate Degree in Engineering or Tech related field.
2D Basic CAD
3D Solid Modeling
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to read and understand drawings
Must be able to perform basic math functions
