CBH has placed among the Top 25 in the program's large-sized employer category (250 employees or more) for each of the three years the program has existed. Selection is based on an assessment of the company's employee policies and procedures as well as results of an internal survey of randomly selected employees.
Patient Access Services is a multi-disciplinary function that takes place at the Point of Service areas throughout the Hospital. These service areas include but are not limited to: Surgery, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Radiology and the Emergency Department. Duties include: registration of patient into TPA system, verification of patient demographics, verification of insurance information and of any precertifications or referrals that are required per payer guidelines and copying of I.D. cards, determining outof-pocket expense for patient, collection of monies due and/or financial counseling if patient is unable to meet their obligation, obtaining necessary signatures and providing patient/family with required documentation. Customer service and accuracy of information obtained are extremely important in this role.
High school diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of office procedures.
Familiar with medical terminology, hospital services, and medical insurance.
Ability to enter at least 45 words per minute on computer.
Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
