Maintains tribal census/enrollment records and performs other related census and enrollment activities according to tribal policies and procedures. Census activities may involve local, state-wide and out of state travel.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Contacts persons at home, place of business, or field location, by telephone, mail, or in person.
Asks questions to obtain various specified information, such as person's name, address, age, religion, place of residency, etc.
Records results and data from interview or survey, using computer or specified form.
Assists person in filling out application or questionnaire.
Compiles and sorts data from interview and reviews to correct errors.
Explains reason for questioning, and other specified information.
Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer software, including applications.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to speak to others in English or Tiwa and convey information effectively.
Communicating effectively in writing for the needs of the audience.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
High School diploma
Three (3) years experience in the clerical field.
Must have a valid NM Driver’s License
Must be able to successfully pass a Background Investigation.
