TITLE : CHANGE Logistics Coordinator

LOCATION: Boston, MA

DURATION: Temporary; Full-time from March 4-August 30, 2013

REPORTS TO: Youth Engagement Manager

PURPOSE : Serve as logistical coordinator in all aspects of CHANGE training scheduled for July 20-26, 2013.

COORDINATES WITH : The Community Engagement team, 60-70 people attending the CHANGE Initiative, Oxfam’s student leadership program

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination of logistics for 60-70 people attending CHANGE training program.

Support travel, housing, meals for students, speakers and facilitators. Arrange transportation, training spaces, mailings, acknowledgements, and materials.

Maintain accurate records and meet timelines. Update records on the CHANGE Network.

Involvement in the CHANGE Initiative recruitment, application and selection process.

Represent the work of Oxfam to the public, including outreach on the phone and in public as needed.

Participate in and report out at regular Community Engagement & CHANGE staff meetings.

Assist with other CHANGE Initiative-related activities as required.

Provide reports and create a program folder including full records of expenses/budget for training.

Attend and continue all coordination during the CHANGE Training in July.

File final report on all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Familiarity with administrative functions of a large event.

Very strong communication and organization skills.

Proven ability to handle and follow through on numerous details and meet deadlines.

Proven ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a team setting.

Experience working with the public, coordinating group projects and organizing work.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Commitment to and understanding of the work of Oxfam America.

Familiarity and ease with computer data entry systems essential.

Experience in telemarketing is preferable.
