Perform analyses of vitamins and antibiotics in official feed samples by using AOAC methods. This includes extracting samples and testing the extracts on analytical instruments such as HPLC or a spectrophotometer. Maintain proficiency by participating in available check sample programs.
Chemical analysis of feed and fertilizer for major constituents like nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium, and potash by using semi-automated and traditional chemical analyses. Maintain proficiency by participating in available check sample programs.
Maintain a well stocked laboratory that is neat and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related chemical science.
