JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing clerical/support services for the Veteran Benefit Counselors. Screens incoming correspondence, visitor and telephone calls. Answers routine questions and furnishes general information. Enters veterans' benefits claims data into VIMS (the Veterans Information Management System). Organizes and maintains client and office files. Types routine correspondence; compiles and prepares reports. Orders and maintains office supplies. Processes work orders. Participates in special projects assigned by the Regional Manager.
