This is work performing a variety of assigned clerical tasks in the College of Law Center for Career Services.
15% At front desk answering phone calls on a multi-line phone system, routing calls, assisting callers with information. Schedules appointments for counselors and Assistant Dean. Assist with handling database questions from students and employers.
15% Acts as receptionist assisting walk-in students with questions, either provide answers or route questions to the appropriate person. Distribute various forms to students. Collect and process completed forms. Respond to emails to general Careers inbox.
35% Enter all job postings into database and maintain database, process and submit biweekly alumni job bulletin. Run weekly “new jobs” report. Seek out legal and legally related job postings on various websites for posting.
10% Process and log both incoming and outgoing reciprocity requests.
10% Log hours, commitment forms and evaluations for the Community Service and Pro Bono Projects.
05% Stock Career Resources handouts and forms as necessary for the day, prepare lobby for visitors. Maintain the Career Services library, post flyers and maintain all Career Services bulletin boards. Create signs/notices to post on bulletin board. Receive and distribute mail daily for Center and prepare outgoing mail for pick-up. Turn off lights, and lock office doors at the end of each day. Assist in formatting of Navigator weekly newsletter.
10% Assist fellow workers as needed during recruitment, exit interviews, programs and with graduate statistics. Assist in typing of various letters, awards, labels as needed and makes copies and transmit faxes as requested by staff.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE . ( ENTER DAYS / HOURS HERE ):
EXPLAIN ANY VARIATIONS FROM THIS SCHEDULE (EX: ON CALL , SHIFT ROTATIONS , SEASONAL EXTENDED HOURS , TRAVEL , ETC .: 40 hours weekly, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required during recruiting season.
A high school diploma and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
