The Clinical Trainer is responsible for development and coordinating delivery of Centralized Night Services and Clinical Referral Line training for Clinical Care Managers and Clinical Support Assistants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of training needs and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies for CCM and CSA functions in CNS/CRL department.
Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as; individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
Write material for new training programs; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs; recommend appropriate changes.
Select or develop teaching aids such as; training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as; on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.
Report on employee progress during training sessions.
Perform audits of clinical and customer service functions.
Flexible hours to train evening, night and weekend staff in our 24/7 units required. Travel approximately 30% of time to other locations for training required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s degree in behavioral health field.
Licensures: Current, valid and unrestricted licensure in a mental health related field is required: RN, LMFT, Ph.D., LPC, LMSW, LCSW.
Relevant Work Experience: Three to five years direct practice experience in a psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment setting and 1 year experience in a managed care setting as a clinical care manager. Prior experience as a clinical trainer and knowledge of adult learning principles preferred. Flexible hours to train evening, night, and weekend staff in our 24/7 units required. Travel approximately 30% of time to other locations for training required.
