Ultimate Software is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Network Engineer to work on our award winning SaaS Delivery team. This critical role will be accountable for data infrastructure, providing problem determination and resolution, and always working towards continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for Ultimate Software’s data infrastructure including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, network taps, tools, and load balancers; both physical and virtual.

Accountable to provide sound problem determination and resolution, document methodologies, thorough knowledge of data network management, execute hardware and software installations, and performance tuning and recovery.

Improve, innovate, and create enhancements to existing processes and policies.

Procure, track and renew SSL certificates issued by Trusted CAs.

Provide and maintain clear, consistent, and accurate documentation of network topologies and standards, including documentation of ISO and other related standards and/or regulatory compliance.

Availability for on-call rotation and work on projects outside normal working hours.

Work from ticket queue on provisioning, break-fix, and new initiatives along with maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all adds, moves and changes to the environments.

Troubleshooting network issues using packet analysis tools and other standard network tools.

Following routine operational tasks such as device backups, code management, configuration compliance, reporting, environmental and performance management while adhering to security policies.

Perform all tasks within security, governance, and compliance standards and guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of expert technical network experience.

Previous work experience following change management procedures and maintaining a highly available infrastructure.

Understand of TCP/IP protocol stack including addressing.

Experience with Cisco hardware including 6500 and IOS based series switches, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and Cisco CSS application content switches.

Experience with Juniper SRX Firewalls, Juniper EX and QFX switches, MAG SSL VPN gateway, VGW, and JUNOS Space.

Experience with F5 Big IP LTM/GTM application switches, and F5 Enterprise Manager.

Experience with Dell PowerConnect switches.

Knowledge of IP Storage protocols iSCSI, NFS, CIFS and FCOE and best practices storage networking for EMC and Netapp.

Experience with VMware advanced networking including Distributed Virtual Switches, failover configuration, and troubleshooting.

CISCO and standards based routing e.g. RIP, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP, route redistribution etc.

LAN switching Internetworking to include VLANS, spanning tree, trunking, port aggregation, and segmentation.

Firewalling techniques and concepts such as Natting and PAT, ACLs, TCP/UDP port usages.

Experience and knowledge working with tunneling technologies including IPSEC and SSL VPNs and GRE tunneling.

Must have an understanding of load balancing strategies/ techniques, expertise in application switching/traffic management, knowledge of persistence and SSL certificates (Cisco 11500 series content switches and F5 Big IP).

Experience with protocol analyzers and related network diagnostic tools such as NetScout Infinistream, Wireshark, and Riverbed Cascasde Shark usage in troubleshooting.

Experience in Network management systems such as Ciscoworks and Solarwinds Orion.

Microsoft Windows generaL internetworking and troubleshooting knowledge.

Experience with implementation and support of MPLS, Metro Ethernet networks, and Internet networks.

Education/Certification/License:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent related experience
  • (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS) certifications preferred
Travel Requirement:
  • Limited travel upon request
