  • Performs a variety of duties in the set-up and
operation of equipment as defined in the work
instructions for each process.

  • Reviews production schedules, process procedures and
specifications regarding the sequential start-up,
operation and control of automated equipment and
peripheral hardware/fixtures.
  • Monitors the operation of the automated equipment
and peripheral hardware.
  • Initiates adjustments to ensure that the automated
equipment and peripheral hardware operate within the
established control limits.
  • Inspects quality levels of production on the
automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
  • Makes adjustments to equipment or hardware when
workmanship drops below quality specifications.
  • Initiate rework/repair activities on product that is
substandard to the specifications.
  • Records data required for statistical process
control or inventory management.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on the automated
equipment and peripheral hardware at specified
intervals and schedules.
  • Performs sequential shutdown, including the cleaning
of the automated equipment or peripheral hardware.

  • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is
preferred. Technical training or education a plus.
  • 5-10 years of industry related machine operator
experience or experience in a related area.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and Verbal)
  • Demonstrates basic manufacturing line knowledge and
participates in process.
  • To perform the major job responsibilities the use of
the appropriate tools may be required : Inspection,
measurement Office Skills: data entry, software.
  • Able to read and comprehend moderately complex
  • Ability to effectively present information in
one-on-one and small group situations to other
employees, leads and supervisors of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to
multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using weight
measurement and distance.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule
  • May make decisions or recommendations for team.
Decisions may affect other teams
  • May give direction to other employees. Receives
instructions on new and complex assignments.
  • Completes tasks as assigned with limited supervision
and instruction.
  • Setup and operation of mill (vertical or
horizontal), and/or lathe CNC machines
  • Ability to use micrometers, calibers , other
measurement instruments
  • Experience reading G-codes
  • Ability to trouble shoot CNC machines
  • Interpretations of geometric dimensions and
tolerances (GD&T)
  • Ability to ready and interpret blueprints,
engineering plans / specifications
  • Team player, and ability to lead team / provide
mentorship to work teams

  • Operating Mazak Mill, Lathe machines, experience
with higher volume manufacturing a plus , some
Mastercam programming a plus; work with Solid works
