Primary Responsibilities : Performs the duties required to write 4-axis Master Cam programs for a group of CNC machines and design tooling

Essential Functions:
  • Creates drawings of parts from customer specifications and drawings for special tooling
  • Writes CNC machine programs for machining parts, reviews any drawing or program changes made by customers, operators or other programmers and makes revisions
  • Answers operator questions about programs and drawings and works with operators, supervisors and team leaders to improve processes on shop floor while the job is running
  • Works with Estimating, Tooling, Floor Supervisors and others to develop plans to manufacture moderately complex parts

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands :
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, hear and use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at 20 feet or more as well as 20 inches or less

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment on a regular basis

Position Qualification & Requirement:
  • Requires a vocational/technical school degree or equivalent capabilities with formal training in CAD and blue print reading
  • Requires four years of experience with numerically controlled machines and machining techniques
