CNC Programmer
Belcan is currently looking for a CNC Programmer in the North Texas area.
Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing tooling and part design to program parts per given dimensioning data. Understand machining capabilities to optimize processes.
Responsibilities will include:
Understands cutting tool technologies to make adequate choices while creating tool path
Work concurrently with manufacturing engineers and CNC operators to develop the most efficient processes
Uses computer aided system for creating G codes using machinery up to five axis
Understands material characteristics
Ensures 100% part completion per blueprint, and creates maintenance updates as required
Works on productivity improvement based on program and tool path simplification, using adequate feed and speed
Performs design trouble-shooting of part inaccuracy
Performs work in a timely manner with respect to quality and schedule
Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Must have knowledge of computer aided system for creating G code using machinery up to five axis
Must understand material characteristics
Master Cam, Pathtrace, program knowledge & experience preferred
DMS Programming a plus.
Must have ability to generate, understand and review written communications and contracts of all types
Able to verbally communicate with all levels of employees and vendors
Ability to master modern communication mediums such as computers, phones, etc.
Ability to think strategically and solve problems
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience working with machinery
Must have 1 to 3 years programming experience
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors, and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, typing, ten key, fax, copy machine etc. Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
