ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to join our team at our office in Norfolk, VA The Communications Specialist will Work directly with VP of Communications and Communications Director to create actionable content for internal and external communications
Write, copyedit, content edit and research to support other department collateral and messages such as newsletters, white papers and press releases
Support the design, development and deployment of internal communication campaigns
Aide in the design and execution of external communication campaigns, targeting media and other industry stakeholders
Build strong internal relationships and collaborate with internal clients and team members to help inform communications strategies and decisions
Additional duties as needed
Education : Bachelor degree in Communications, English or related field of study
Relevant Work Experience:
3 years of professional writing and communications experience
3 years’ experience editing both internal and external communications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Time management and organizational skills
Word and PowerPoint proficiency
Understanding of writing for action
Health care industry knowledge and/or experience a plus
