Position Summary:
  • Assists in the development, implementation and administration of company-wide compensation programs
  • Prepares statistical analysis, data modeling, and cost analysis of various compensation programs
  • Research and analyze data to find out appropriate salary level and job title for salaried, hourly, middle and top management positions. Determines exemption, EEOC and Census status of all jobs by applying appropriate tests and analysis
  • Collects, develops and analyzes market data to insure internal pay equity and external market competitiveness
  • Participates and interprets surveys to insure the maintenance of the and Hartford HealthCare(HHC) competitive position with regard to benchmark jobs and local, regional and national environment
  • Educates managers and employees to the compensation program and compliance to federal and state regulations

Skills and Specifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years current and relevant experience in organizational-wide compensation programs
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices
  • Able to handle superior level of confidentiality concerning employee information
  • Ability to use software and hardware effectively including MS Office, Visio, Excel, and Access
  • High-level of proficiency in Excel (e.g., regression analysis, pivot tables, percentiles, etc.)
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making and project planning skills
  • Prior healthcare industry, executive compensation and incentive design experiences desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to relate well with all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's degree required
