The Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM), a managed care health plan, seeks a Compliance Business Analyst who will be responsible for the gathering of data for regulatory reports. He/she will perform technical analysis, system enhancements and develops reports in support of the Compliance and Regulatory Department. He/she will conduct analysis for moderately complex projects, develops solutions to departmental initiatives, and assists in the coordination and management of project initiatives . This position interfaces with staff throughout HPSM and regulators such as CMS, DHCS, and DMHC. He/she will also be the System Administrator of Compliance 360 for Organizational Compliance and for generating data and reports for regulatory agencies

PRIMARY DUTIES

Maintains Compliance 360 including the configuration of modules and development and update of User Guides. Identifies issues with C360 software, prioritizes and escalates to resolve. Monitors/manages reported issues in a timely manner. Generates and develops reports to track and monitor compliance activities. Assists in project management of the implementation and roll out of modules within Compliance 360. Interfaces with staff throughout HPSM to train C360 users. Prepares and submits regulatory reports to DHCS, DMHC, CMS and other agencies as required. Assists the Director of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs in managing and tracking key deliverables related to departmental projects and initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree. Minimum 3 years experience working with MS Access databases preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare or operational area- managed care background an important plus. Familiarity with SQL helpful.

Knowledge of: Familiarity with SQL helpful. Advanced knowledge of MS Access. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools a plus: MS Project, Visio, & Power Point.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent research skills using legal/regulatory databases or search engines. Effectively set priorities and meet commitments. Develop and implement basic project plans with direction and supervision.
