Main Purpose of Job
The Computer Information Specialist II position is responsible for the interface with the Maryland Military Department, Department of Information Management (DOIM), and other agencies for local system administration, maintenance communication and monitoring of a data collection system. This position will also manage the computer lab and develop course curriculums for the cadets of the FreeState ChalleNGe Academy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.
Note : Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base or other applications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

Six months of experience monitoring and administering management information systems.
