Job Description:
The Reporting Analyst will support the overall business
strategy and corporate objectives by performing
analysis, managing databases, and writing/designing
requested reports. This Analyst will be very detail
oriented, an expert in Excel, and possess knowledge of
Visual Basic (SQL).
Essential Functions/Principal Responsibilities
They will collect data, conduct research and perform
analysis (competitive, financial, industry, regulatory).
The Analyst will also determine possible implications
and make recommendations as needed. They will review and
analyze the business unit’s reports and interpret the
content for management to alert them to significant
issues and / or opportunity trends.
The Reporting Analyst will develop and prepare complex
Product and Operational reports, perform financial
variance and trending analysis, and support findings
with research, statistical analysis, rationale, and
other related activities for use in management
decisions. This Analyst will develop a variety of
reporting methodologies to capture identified trends and
recommends solutions, strategies and actions; which
includes, developing charts, graphs, tables that
consolidate data in a meaningful way for review by
management.

Required:
  • Strong mathematical skills needed
  • Has strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Has strong business writing skills
  • Project management experience skills to accurately
complete detail data assignments, understand and
interpret broad operational / product / financial
concepts and their application to the business unit
  • Expert in Excel
  • SQL experience
  • Database management
Preferred:
  • Has basic understanding of operational / product /
financial concepts as they apply to business unit
  • Strong understanding of the use and development of
operational models and other related reporting
software
Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
  • 2 – 4 years experience conducting financial and/or
business analysis
