We are currently seeing a Contract Specialist with the following responsibilities: Reviews awarded insurance contracts, government contracts and contract renewals for accuracy and compliance with agreed upon terms or applicable regulations. Prepares information necessary for contract renewals, amendments, licensing and certification applications, and re/credentialing applications. Researches contract compliance criteria and makes recommendations as appropriate for consideration of new contracts. Gathers and distributes contract related documents for users throughout the organization in order to facilitate contract compliance. Assists with implementation of new contracts and programs to ensure contract requirements are met. Reviews and makes recommendations regarding proper billing and coding. Maintains, improves and enhances systems and processes designed to comply with current regulations, privacy and security guidelines. Assists with compliance inquiries and HIPAA reviews.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Information Management, Public Administration or a related field. At least two years working with managed health care insurance contracts. Prior experience credentialing health care facilities and providers. Knowledge of procedure and revenue codes, as well as Medicare/Medicaid requirements. Microsoft Office Access and Excel skills needed.
