In order to support Pharma Services in the US, Eurofins is recruiting a :

Chief Operation Officer - Eurofins MWG Operon Inc. USA

Our future COO will handle the following objectives and tasks : Overall Objectives:
  • The COO is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the company. This role collaborates with the CEO to develop corporate and operational strategies, and is charged with facilitating these efforts across operations
Specific Assignments:
  • Responsible for all activities when President/CEO is absent
  • Work closely with the President/CEO to develop and accomplish goals and strategic plans established by board members and executives of the company
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external; provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
  • Motivate and lead a high performance management team; mentor direct reports to increase consciousness of the interrelationship between each department in the operations groups
  • Participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans
  • Improve operations efficiency for services and manufacturing and logistics. Streamline the operational processes and make good use of IT so as to achieve high efficiency. Support the development, implementation and optimal use of the One-IT systems and ensure its efficient usage at all levels of the company to improve productivity and profitability
  • Gather and analyse customer tends to assist in developing corporate strategy
  • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of EMO's market
  • Take appropriate measures to improve economic profit, including hands-on personal commitment in addressing situations where profit levels are too low
  • Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives
  • Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff

Performance Appraisal Criteria: Increase of profitability and Economic Profit (EBIT - 16% of capital employed) of the companies and business units under his/her responsibility
Improvement / success on agreed upon KPIs and projects
For this challenging position, our future COO will hold :
Bachelors in Business Administration or foreign equal, MBA would be a plus
Experience shall be a minimum 3 - 5 yrs. exp. in corporate leadership/mgmt
Experience should also include planning/implementing/managing post-merger technical/operational integration
Must have proven positive track record to lead and grow a business segment and increasing profitability

The position would be located either in Huntsville or Louisville.
