Prepare recipes and serves food in a display cooking environment with predetermined standards of quality and quantity. Assist with directing the activities of student employees.
The duties of this position require the ability to lift/push/pull cases of food and bags of produce weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand the entire work time excluding breaks. Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a team-oriented environment. Ability to train and work cooperatively with student staff. Ability to serve students, faculty, staff and university guests in a hospitable customer-oriented manner. Ability to perform basic math skills in order to complete such tasks as converting pounds and ounces to their decimal equivalents, calculating the number of portions prepared and served for record-keeping and estimating quantities of ingredients needed for recipe preparation.
Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
ServSafe certification. Previous food service experience.
Entry hourly salary: $12.58
